We are so blessed to serve in so many ways. To think that in a matter of days Al and Lori Lotz raised money for a crisis in Peru and thousands of miles away we can continue our children’s ministry as the world slowly opens up again.
Sammy Surge made a guest appearance at the NW Christian soccer camp in Newberg, Oregon. The camp has been run by our own Likius Hafeni along with NW Christian Church’s Jason Dick, Family Ministries Pastor.
Find out where Sammy will be next?
UPDATE AS OF JULY 21, 2020
We are humbled and so encouraged by the outpouring of response and giving concerning the needs of Marcos and his family in Peru. In just one day we exceeded our goal to help them rebuild their lives after the fire. Just a reminder that any excess will go towards the Shipibo Bible school project where Marcos is a student. Thank you all for your generosity and prayers. They are working on building two classrooms

We use soccer as a way to gain acceptance and build relationships. We customize each trip to the needs and desires of the people but this clip has a good variety of different soccer-related events from a trip to Bolivia where we worked previously for many years. Part of this trip was in support of a new, first of its kind Christian based soccer academy in Bolivia, and part of it was outreach and street ministry using soccer.
Al and Lori have been embracing “stay at home” with Mike, Kelly, and Jackson.
How is the Surge Soccer family enjoying “stay at home”?
“We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.”
You probably remember that game we played as children – “Simon says….”
Hank stopped by the orphanage and just confirmed what we suspected – the orphanage is in crisis also!
I had not planned to write about “the virus” …then I read this letter from my dear friend Simon – who we worked with in Burundi.
We appreciate your prayers during this time when all of our travel and projects have been postponed. We are using this time to adjust those plans and make future plans and stay in touch by phone, email, WhatsApp, Skype & FaceTime with our colleagues.
“We are hunkered down for the time being trying to be wise with our health. Finding the balance of staying safe and helping others can be a challenge at times like this. I’m using the time to prepare lessons in Spanish for my next Peru trip that is scheduled for the end of May but that may have to be postponed depending on the two countries involved in transportation options. We pray for the whole situation that God will use this for His glory and then many will come to …

“He was a top player for our Cascade Surge PDL team, and now we welcome Josh back as our newest Global Ambassador,” says Surge founder Dave Irby.
We are excited to have Josh back, as he uses his coaching experience with us, Warner Pacific University and the Eastside Timbers. Josh will support our current projects – but with his main emphasis on new project development.
