Liberia in 60 Seconds / Sammy Surge visiting Kids in 2 States

Dear Friends,

Sammy Surge is back from Liberia and will be at Morningstar Church/Salem, OR in May & and at the Red Hill Lutheran School Soccer Camp, Santa Ana/Tustin in June!

The one page ATTACHMENT will inform you about our new work in Liberia.

Liberia in less than 60 seconds:

4 cancelled flights, 59 hours of travel, over 8,000 miles one way, 4 covid tests, going from 29 degrees and snowing to 85 degrees, felt like 100 due to humidity; the electricity worked mostly.

“And God was glorified throughout our trip to Liberia.”

– 61 top soccer coaches attended our 2-day seminar.

– A meeting with assistant ministers of education went well. We plan to help raise scholarship money for teacher’s education.

– We visited the two schools we want to help: Beautiful Beginnings & One Goal Academy

– Our final day, after the power came back on, we provided introductory training for 36 pastors and 4 parachurch leaders in sports evangelism/ministry. (Those leaders have a total of 14,000 participants.)

– And 4th time’s a charm as we found enough gas at the fourth gas station we tried – to get us to the airport to fly home.

Liberia is an amazing country of wonderful people – together, let’s make a difference!

We go forward with your prayers and support to develop leaders in evangelism, discipleship, education, and sports.

sharing hope through soccer,
