Hougton’s Womens Mission Team final game in Salzburg

While we faced exhaustion from the cumulative activity of the ten day trip, the Surge women’s soccer team ended with a friendly match against a local club in Salzburg. The tiredness showed itself in our “first touches” but the girls still hung on to make the match competitive and interesting. Unfortunately we lost the game, but more importantly we won the team.

After the game in the club room we were able to share song, skit and testimonies, which is the best of what we have and who we are. They were so impressed by the girls singing that they asked for more songs including our national anthem. On a side note, I would like to go on record that of all the trips I have led, you could not ask for a nicer group of young ladies—their character, responsibility, cooperation and love for others is exceptional. Thank you girls and coach Lewis for involving yourself this way.
